As we approach the year 2026, attention spans are shorter than a smoke break - hell, most of us don’t even smoke anymore because who has the time?

Modern life moves too fast for a full cigarette,

let alone a full thought.

So, together, lets BRING BACK SMOKING!

Okay, maybe not...

If anything, cancer research single-handedly ruined what could’ve been the timeless aesthetic of a casual smoke circle outside the office. What the hell, cancer?

Anyway —

The point still stands: life moves so fast that even our vices don’t fit into the schedule anymore. And somewhere in that rush, our thoughts get the same treatment — cut short, skipped over, swiped away.

Reflecting on this past year, I’ve realised my mind has been scrolling through thoughts without giving them the space to breathe. It’s a scary feeling — watching ideas evaporate before they ever become anything. Before anything of substance can form, it’s met with a thousand shinier, easier distractions. I scroll, I swipe, I drift, and the real ideas — the slow ones, the strange ones, the honest ones - never stand a chance.

So I’m trying something unfashionable.

I’m starting a blog.

A place where thoughts can take their time. Where ideas aren’t competing for attention. Where I can actually hear myself think again.

So, if you’re here, reading this,

Welcome. :)
